    About GoodwillProject

    GoodwillProject is an independent initiative dedicated to the study and practice of authentic Theravāda Dhamma as preserved in the Pali Canon. The project exists with one purpose: to help you cultivate a mind capable of seeing all phenomena as impermanent (anicca), suffering (dukkha), and not-self (anattā).

    About GoodwillProject — the path to liberation through the Dhamma
    The Dhamma — a path to liberation through studying the Pali Canon, practising meditation, and developing noble mental qualities.

    Our Principles

    • Sources: we rely exclusively on the Pali Text Society (PTS) and direct references to the Nikāyas: Dīgha, Majjhima, Saṃyutta, Aṅguttara.
    • No commentaries: we do not use interpretations by modern teachers—only the suttas themselves.
    • Practice over theory: every article is an invitation to experience, not intellectual debate.
    • Ethics: we collect no personal data, run no ads, and pursue no commercial goals.

    Who Is This Project For?

    For those who:

    • Seek the Buddha’s authentic teaching, free from distortion;
    • Wish to begin or deepen their practice of ānāpānasati;
    • Want to understand Pali terms in their precise meaning through the Glossary of Pali Terms;
    • Are interested in the complete path—from the first step to arahantship.

    About the Author

    The project is led by Marat Mingazov, an independent researcher of the Pali Canon and a meditator since 2015. All materials are verified against PTS editions and SuttaCentral. The author’s aim is not to create “yet another Buddhist website,” but to offer a space for sincere, unbiased inquiry into truth.

    How Is “About” Different from the Blog?

    The Blog publishes articles, sutta explanations, and practical guides. This page describes the long-term mission, principles, and sources of GoodwillProject. Here you learn why and how the content is created—not just what it contains.

    Theravāda Dhamma — The Path to Liberation

    This blog is a space for those who seek liberation from suffering through the study and practice of Theravāda Dhamma. Here you will find reflections, explanations of suttas, answers to readers’ questions, and practical guidance on meditation—especially ānāpānasati, mindful breathing as a means to understand mind and body.

    We follow the translations of the Pali Text Society (PTS) and use Pali terms with diacritics to preserve the precision of the Buddha’s teaching as transmitted in the Nikāyas: Dīgha, Majjhima, Saṃyutta, and Aṅguttara.

    All texts are based exclusively on the Pali Canon. We do not rely on commentaries by modern teachers. Our aim is to present the Dhamma as it appears in the suttas: clear, practical, and liberating.

    Beginners will especially benefit from: Ānāpānasati — Breathing as the Foundation of Meditation and Guided Meditation for Beginners. Both offer clear, daily practice instructions—without excessive theory or complex terminology.

    For those interested in deep meditative states, we recommend Jhānas and the Five Spheres: The Path to Cessation of Suffering. It outlines the sequence leading to saññāvedayitanirodha—the state in which direct experience of nibbāna becomes possible.
